5 June 2024 World Environment Day in Buur hakaba

The DEDO Organization, through its local branch in Buurhakaba District, officially commemorated World Environment Day on June 5th, 2024. The event was held at Aaran Primary and Secondary School and brought together a diverse group of participants, including students, teachers, local community members, and district officials.

Key Highlights of the Event:

Tree Planting Campaign:
As part of the activities marking the day, a tree-planting initiative was launched. Various species of trees were planted within the school compound and its surrounding areas. This initiative aimed to support reforestation efforts, enhance the local ecosystem, and raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.

 Community Awareness:
DEDO conducted an environmental awareness campaign emphasizing the collective responsibility of protecting the environment. Participants were encouraged to take action by reducing pollution, planting more trees, and preserving natural resources for future generations.

 Inclusive Participation:
The event saw broad participation from students, parents, school staff, youth groups, and women’s associations. Their active involvement reflected a shared commitment to fostering a healthier, greener, and more sustainable environment.
