On the occasion of World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5th, we successfully organized a community-led environmental event in the Jaziira area, located in Southwest State, Somalia.
As part of the commemoration, we conducted a beach clean-up along the Jaziira coastline and carried out a tree-planting initiative within the local government compound.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Southwest State, the Somalia and Environment Conservation Group (SECG), for their vital contributions and active participation in making this event a success.
