Baidoa, 18 May 2025 As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community development, we today handed over a selection of trees including mango, olive, and other shade-providing species to the administration and students of KGS School in Baidoa District.
This initiative is designed to:
- Enhance the aesthetic and ecological value of the school environment,
- Provide natural shade and contribute to improved air quality,
- Raise environmental awareness among students and staff,
- And promote greener, healthier learning spaces for current and future generations.
Tree planting in educational institutions plays a vital role not only in transforming physical surroundings but also in fostering environmental stewardship among young people. It serves as a practical learning experience that encourages students to value and care for the natural world.
This activity is part of a broader regional effort by our organization to promote environmental protection, climate resilience, and community well-being across South West State.
We extend our appreciation to the administration and students of KGS School for their warm reception and enthusiasm, and we look forward to continued collaboration on environmental initiatives that benefit both people and the planet.
