Youth Training: Developing Green Business Plans for Biodiversity Protection & Ecosystem-Based Enterprises
We were among the Somali NGOs that had the privilege of actively participating in organizing this important training program for Somali youth. The training was jointly implemented with the support of international organizations, namely the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF), with a focus on promoting green entrepreneurship and environmental conservation.
Program Overview:
This program specifically focused on enhancing the capacity of Somali youth to acquire knowledge, skills, and essential resources to design and implement sustainable (green) business plans. These business initiatives are aimed at:
- Contributing to the protection of biodiversity
- Promoting ecosystem-based enterprises
