We have successfully completed the second phase of the tree-planting campaign in the coastal areas of the Lower Shabelle region, operating under the administration of South West State.
As part of this initiative, over 200 trees were handed over to the local administration of Jazeera district in Lower Shabelle. This project aims to promote environmental sustainability, combat deforestation, and improve the ecological health of the region.
This campaign was implemented in collaboration with key local partners, including Green Somalia University, #SALMO Organization, Ileys Youth Development Organization (IYDO), #ASDO Organization, Together, we worked to empower communities and foster a culture of environmental stewardship among local youth and institutions.
The successful completion of this phase marks a significant step forward in our long-term commitment to restoring the natural landscape and supporting sustainable development in the Lower Shabelle coastal region.
