In response to a formal request from the Minister of Security and the Minister of Justice of the South West State Government (KGS), today we officially handed over 300 tree seedlings of various species. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to promote environmental conservation and enhance the aesthetic value of public institutions.
The donated trees comprising both shade and ornamental species are specifically intended to improve the greenery, climate, and overall landscape of the Ministry of Security and Ministry of Justice compounds. Through this effort, we aim to support a healthier and more sustainable environment, while contributing to the beautification and ecological balance of government facilities.
The handover ceremony was attended by key government officials, including the Minister of Security, the Minister of Justice, senior staff from both ministries, and representatives from #Dedo Organization. During the event, both ministers expressed their appreciation for the support and reaffirmed their commitment to greening government infrastructure as part of wider climate resilience strategies.
This activity forms part of a broader environmental initiative that seeks to integrate sustainable practices into the operations of public institutions across the South West State. By strengthening the culture of tree planting and environmental stewardship, we hope to inspire collective action toward climate change mitigation and ecosystem restoration.
