Ramadan Iftar Project 2025

today iftar program was successfully completed today, marking another important milestone in our ongoing Ramadan initiative. The program is designed to provide daily Iftar meals to vulnerable and displaced individuals who face significant challenges during the holy month.

We were honored by the presence of several distinguished guests who visited the distribution site, demonstrating strong community support and solidarity. Among them were:

  • Colonel Aamin Mad Daruur, Police Commander of Bay Region, whose leadership plays a crucial role in maintaining security and stability in the region,
  • The Commander of Baidoa District Airport, whose collaboration is vital in coordinating logistical support for humanitarian operations,
  • MP Duceysane Daacad, Chairperson of the Youth Committee in Baidoa District, representing the voices and interests of young people in the community, and
  • Sultan Mohamed Abdullahi, Chairperson of the Youth Council of the Southwest State Government, who advocates for youth engagement in social development initiatives.

This year marks the sixth consecutive year of the “Feed Your Fasting Brother” program, underscoring its sustainability and the growing commitment of partners and stakeholders to support those in need during Ramadan.

Today, the program reached 250 individuals living in displacement camps around Baidoa city’s outskirts, providing them with nourishing Iftar meals to break their fast. These camps are home to internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have been affected by conflict and environmental challenges, making such support critical to their wellbeing.

The success of this initiative is a testament to the power of community collaboration, government support, and the dedication of humanitarian organizations working together to alleviate hardship, promote social cohesion, and ensure that vulnerable populations observe Ramadan with dignity and hope.

We extend our sincere thanks to all partners, volunteers, and donors who continue to make this life-changing program possible. We remain committed to expanding our reach in the coming years, ensuring that more vulnerable families receive the assistance they urgently need.
